Shark Week Report

Our second shark week has produced another bumper weeks sightings of shark.

It started with two white tip reef sharks swimming under four eagle rays who were swimming in a circle. As we got closer, three of the eagle rays swam off, but one stayed to entertain us. See photo below. The sharks stayed around but keeping their distance not allowing us to take a good photo.

A few days later, we had over ten hammerheads. You can count six in one of the photos below, which was taken on the dive by Phil Richards who this week completed his 1000'th dive.

The scout that first appeared.

More then came into view although kept their distance. We could count in excess of ten but it was difficult to determine how many were in the school as they kept drifting in and out of view.

One came within 5 meters of us.
